Yantai's first wine-themed bus route debuted on June 1, aiming to combine wine culture and tourism.
These buses are painted in purple and adorned with depictions of grapevines, oak barrels, the lighthouse on Yantai Mountain, and the waves of the Yellow Sea.
Inside, there is a "Wine Culture Micro Exhibition Area" featuring 3D floor stickers, winery display boards, and historical storyboards showing Yantai's century-long journey in the wine industry.

Ms Zhang, a local resident, brought her family to experience the ride. "This design, which encapsulates the city's history in the bus cabins, creates a new cultural medium. It feels like attending a lively wine culture class," she remarked.
This special route, centered around Yantai South Station, connects 16 attractions, including the Changyu Wine Culture Museum, Fishermen's Wharf, and the wine block of Chaoyang Street. It offers residents and tourists alike a unique way to understand Yantai as a wine city and sets the stage for the upcoming Global Wine Tourism Summit 2025.
